Outlook Web Access - Documentation

Premium Documentation   |   Basic Documentation

Premium: (full features)
PCs using Internet Explorer
Fast Connections

Basic: (fewer features)
Macintosh, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, etc.
PCs with slow connections

If you are using Internet Explorer or Opera on a PC, you will notice that you have the option of choosing Premium or Basic mode on the logon screen. On Windows PCs using Internet Explorer, the new Outlook Web Access has an improved "premium" interface with expanded functionality that more closely resembles the Outlook application. However, you may wish to select Basic if you have a slow modem connection or if you have accessibility issues. A comparison of Outlook 2003 with both the Premium and Basic modes of Outlook Web Access is available from Microsoft. Opera users must explicitly select Basic mode since Premium mode will not function properly.

If you are using a Macintosh computer or an alternate browser on a PC (Netscape, Mozilla, etc), you will not have the option of selecting Premium or Basic mode. You will automatically be presented with Basic mode.
